A Sea of Fabric!

On March 10-11, 2007, the Southern Comforters hosted their annual quilt show at the C. Elizabeth Rieg School. The amazing collection of over 190 quilts by guild members drew many appreciative comments and votes. Many of the winning quilts will be shown again at the 2008 show, for those who may have missed them.

The raffle quilt was won by guild treasurer, Loretto Cartney. (Click on the picture to see a full-sized view.)

Ribbon Winners

All show attendees were asked to vote for their favorites in six different categories. Ribbons were awarded for the top three in each category. Ribbons were also awarded for Members Choice. Click on the picture to see a full-sized view.

Other Events

In addition to the raffle quilt and displays of guild-made quilts, the 2007 Quilt Show featured a silent auction, door prizes, Keepsakes Korner, various vendors, ongoing kids activities, eight different demonstrations, and the featured work of long-time guild member, Susie Stevenson.
