Charlotte Kieliszek, "Essex's Montana Mystery"
This quilt was created during a three-day workshop with Jackie Robinson in Essex, Montana. We stayed at a 1920s lodge with a huge stone fireplace in the lobby. No phones or televisions in the rooms, no cell phone signal, a light dusting of snow...It was the perfect get-away weekend in October 2004. My husband went with me, and he explored Glacier National Park while I was in class. By the time I completed the 64 Y seams in this quilt, I was getting pretty good at them!
